In my experience, failing was fundamental for greater development overall. This is not only true for me, but for so many people, there is a need to experience failures in life. Oftentimes that can be a driving factor for people, a motivation to do better, to work harder and to persevere. Many people need the push of failure to truly want to go forward. Otherwise, people can fall into contentment. I started to feel that too in high school, I was getting good grades, and there was no drive to be better. I was an A student and above and beyond was my goal, but there was nothing motivating me to do that. Until my low test score, then I knew I needed to change something, and I did.
While I took my failure and ran with it, many often feel discouraged and want to give up, however that is where failure is a problem. And in and of itself, failure is not necessarily a bad thing, but it can become a bad thing very fast. Fundamentally failure can have so many benefits for people, like I have said previously it can be a driving factor, which pushes people towards success. There are many skills that are considered important, and I personally think that being able to overcome failure, and adapt in needed situations is an important skill that everyone should have. Failure is never going to go away, and having the skills to overcome and persevere is important for life, careers and in general.
